Britten Acquires Sideline Signatures, Extends Leadership in Sports Banners and Signage

Monday 16. February 2009 - Britten, Inc., the leading provider of large-scale banner and display solutions to the sports world, has acquired Boise-based Sideline Signatures.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Sideline Signature’s premiere product is a 3’X9′ padded pyramid designed to stand on its own along a sideline boundary. The product’s primary sponsorship appeal is that it is positioned on the field, in direct sight of those in the stands and TV camera sight lines. Clients include hundreds of major college and pro sports teams and venues, including several 2008-’09 college bowl games.

Britten will incorporate the Sideline Signature product with its own line of sports products, including MasterTent, large-scale banners, signage, and flags, and more. Britten Sports Market Manager Todd Schmitt will run the Sideline Signatures product line.

“This has been a rapidly growing sponsorship product in the sports world, and we’re pleased to have it in our arsenal. It’s a natural extension of all the places we’re positioning sponsors already and is a great revenue stream for the properties,” said Schmitt.

He added that Britten intends to offer the product at a lower cost and with a quicker turnaround.
