Rockwell Automation is Readers Choice for Process Control in CONTROL Magazine Awards
Friday 30. January 2009 - Growing recognition of Rockwell Automation capabilities helps make the company one of the top choices for process control
Building on the 2008 selection of Rockwell Automation as readers favorite process control automation system, safety system and advanced process control provider in CONTROL magazines Readers Choice Awards, the company takes top honors in 2009. The companys commitment to a single, plant-wide control platform for process, discrete, batch, motion, safety and information disciplines helped secure more CONTROL Readers Choice votes than any other process automation supplier.
“Process manufacturers recognize that a unified control system provides huge business advantages,” said Steve Pulsifer, director of Process Market Development, Rockwell Automation. “By standardizing on the Integrated Architecture platform and then taking advantage of all the new features in the Rockwell Automation PlantPAx process automation system, our customers cut installation, maintenance, training and infrastructure costs, while leveraging the most fully featured and scalable control system on the market. Were thrilled that the people who work in process industries realize just how much value our process automation platform provides their business.”
Rockwell Automation received 31 first-place finishes in CONTROL magazine, plus three awards for key instrumentation partner Endress+Hauser. Particularly noteworthy was the demonstrated preference for Rockwell Automation in several process industries, including:
Food
Beverage
Metals, Minerals and Mining
Power Generation
Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences
Plastics and Rubber
Water/Wastewater
In addition, the Readers Choice Awards clearly showed readers overall preference for the Rockwell Automation capabilities within the PlantPAx process automation system. For the first time, the company received more first through fourth place finishes than any other process automation supplier – finishing with 60 of such placements in categories such as software and I/O, among several others.
The CONTROL magazine Readers Choice Award is an unaided product poll, meaning that respondents select suppliers that are top-of-mind rather than choose from a pre-defined list. CONTROL magazine is dedicated to the global process automation market with a readership of more than 65,000 engineering, operations and management professionals.
