Legacy Publishing Company Announces Promotion of Susan M. Lemieux to President
Thursday 22. January 2009 - Legacy Publishing Company, a Maine-based creator and marketer of personal development CDs and DVDs with 120 employees and $20 Million in annual sales, announced that Susan M. Lemieux has been promoted to President of the company. Lemieux was formerly Legacy's Vice President of Finance.
Steven Anderson, CEO and Founder of the company, handed the reins over to Lemieux on Jan. 1, 2009. “Our senior management team has been planning and preparing for this transition for most of 2008. I’m excited about the new team and what we’ll accomplish under Susan’s sound leadership.”
Lemieux has been with Legacy Publishing since 2001, when she joined the company as its controller after working for an Internet start-up in Massachusetts. Over the years, she has overseen the expansion of Legacy’s call centers to include Brunswick and Auburn, the implementation of accounting controls at the company, and the move from Legacy’s old location on Bridge St. to their newly renovated headquarters at 10 Speirs St. in Westbrook.
“It’s an honor to be chosen to lead a group of talented people during these exciting times for our company,” said Lemieux. In the near future, she has dedicated herself to helping “The Us Factor” the “company’s new self-help program for couples”gain the national recognition and sales volume that Legacy’s flagship parenting product, The Total Transformation Program, now enjoys. “I’m also committed to bringing different departments together to share ideas and strategies. I plan to continue working directly with people while broadening the team,” said Lemieux.
Lemieux, who earned a CPA, received her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, with a certificate concentration in Management Information Systems. She is originally from Methuen, Massachusetts and now resides in Standish, Maine.
