Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company Promotes Robert Perry to Executive Vice President

Tuesday 06. January 2009 - Panasonic today announced the promotion of Robert Perry to Executive Vice President of Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company, with responsibility for the company's sales, marketing and product merchandising. The promotion is effective January 1, 2009.

In his new position, Mr. Perry will report directly to Shiro Kitajima, President of Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. Until now, Mr. Perry served as the company’s Senior Vice President responsible for VIERA Plasma and LCD product merchandising.

“Since joining Panasonic last year, Bob has done an outstanding job in revitalizing our VIERA product line, merchandising and stepping up our strategic approach to the market,” said Shiro Kitajima, President of Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. “I expect that, with his expanded role within Panasonic, Bob will now be able to contribute his leadership to achieving further growth and development in all of our digital products categories.”
