Fujitsu to Preview Newest ScanSnap Scanner at the 2009 International CES Expo

Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., the market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today announced it will preview its newest ScanSnap Scanner at the 2009 International CES Conference and Expo, January 8-11 in Las Vegas. For the first time, Fujitsu will introduce the new design concepts of the ScanSnap S1500 to the public and offer product demonstrations, highlighting the new features. The scanner will be available to the public in the spring of 2009.
The Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 maintains the rich functionality of its predecessors, enabling easy one-button scanning, while providing new and innovative features to address the growing needs of customers. The latest introduction includes enhanced utility features with the addition of an intelligent resolution function and paper double-feed detection, a redesigned software interface, enhanced business card scanning and faster speeds. Equipped with a new design, the new scanner boasts speeds of 20 pages per minute (ppm) for single sided documents and 40 images per minute (ipm) for double-sided documents. Additionally, the ScanSnap S1500 comes bundled with Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) 9 Standard, providing flexible editing features to enable advanced collaboration.
Fujitsu will give live product demonstrations of the new ScanSnap S1500, as well as the mobile award-winning ScanSnap S300, the world’s smallest color, duplex automatic document fed (ADF) scanner, to CES attendees at booth #13244 in the Central Hall.
