ASK now a MasterCard Certified Vendor
Tuesday 06. January 2009 - Today, ASK has completed the MasterCard Global Vendor Certification Program (GVCP) requirements for the plant located in Sophia-Antipolis, the headquarters of the company in the South of France.
Having achieved certification allows ASK to manufacture MasterCard banking cards and embed chips for MasterCard issuers.
ASK confirms its strategy to address the banking market and offers an innovative range based on a multi-application contactless or dual interface (contact and contactless) smart card.
“ASK believes that its expertise in public transport will benefit banking organizations when they switch their contact based smart cards to contactless smart cards,” says Patrick Sure, head of the Transport and Bank Business Line. “Im convinced that due to the installed base of a contact POS infrastructure, dual interface smart cards are the future of banking cards in Europe”, he adds.
