Update negotiations AD NieuwsMedia
Tuesday 30. December 2008 - As announced on 7 August, Koninklijke Wegener NV and PCM Uitgevers BV are negotiating the sale of Wegeners 37% share in AD NieuwsMedia BV to PCM Uitgevers. Negotiations about the possible take-over of PCM Lokale Media BV by Wegener are also under way.
Wegener and PCM Uitgevers now announce that in connection with these transactions, they are also discussing the potential sale of the printing plant Wegener NieuwsDruk West in The Hague to PCM Uitgevers. The Wegener NieuwsDruk West printing plant is responsible for a major portion of the AD newspaper print run.
The trade unions, the Social and Economic Council and the works councils involved have been informed about the matter.
