INNOVATIVE LABELING SOLUTIONS FIRST

December 2008 - AB Graphic International has supplied Hamilton, Ohio based Innovative Labeling Solutions with the first Vectra Automatic Take Off Conveyer system to be installed in the United States. The system will fully automate label converting from a 16" (406mm) nine color flexo press.

Established in 1996 Innovative Labeling Solutions is a full service labeling and packaging company operating from a 65,000 sq. ft. facility where both digital and flexo printed labels for consumer goods and the industrial market are produced. Commenting on the purchase, Jay Dollries, President, said, “We were looking for a system comprising inspection, turreting, packaging and tracing that would fully automate label production from our press. The Vectra model offered by AB Graphic International is unmatched and the only one that fully met our requirements”.


Commenting on the development, Al Spendlow, VP of Operations at AB Graphic International said. “The new automatic conveyer is comprised of a Vectra turret rewinder with fleyeVision in-line camera using 100% print inspection. The camera checks each individual lane of labels and if an error occurs it identifies its location. When the finished product has completed its production cycle, the good labels are automatically ejected down one chute of the conveyer and the roll containing the error/s is sent down the reject chute. Operating with this system means that a non-stop turret rewinding system can be used with guaranteed 100% inspection of the product which is not normally possible”.

The Automatic Take-off Conveyer can be supplied on all new Vectra turret rewind models from AB Graphic International for widths from 12″ (330mm) to 20″ (510mm).
