Ad hoc: Rainer Zellner new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Constantia Packaging AG

Wednesday 24. December 2008 - Helmut Schwager steps down from the Executive Board of Constantia Packaging AG

As per today Guido N. Schmidt-Chiari resigned from his function as Supervisory Board Chairman of Constantia Packaging AG. Schmidt-Chiari has successfully served the group since 1994.
Rainer Zellner, since 2003 Supervisory Board Member of Constantia Packaging AG takes up the post of the Chairman with immediate effect. Christine de Castelbajac remains in the Supervisory Board as ordinary member, but resigns as Deputy Chairwoman.
The post of Deputy Chairman is taken up with immediate effect by Wolfgang Pfarl, who has been ordinary member of the Supervisory Board since 2008.

Furthermore the Supervisory Board of Constantia Packaging AG announced today that it has accepted Helmut Schwager’s offer to step down as Chief Financial Officer of Constantia Packaging AG. His retirement will take effect on December 31, 2008, at an age of 65 years. Schwager has been with the company since 1969, and in 1994 was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Constantia Verpackungen AG, now Constantia Packaging AG.

Pending the appointment of a successor, Chief Executive Officer Hanno M. Bästlein will also assume the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer.
