GRAFITALIA 2009 IS THE FIRST WORLDWIDE SHOWCASE FOR “TEXTILE PRINTING SOLUTIONS”

Tuesday 23. December 2008 - FOCUS GROUP ON TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AT FIERA DI MILANO FROM MARCH 24TH TO 28TH 2009 COOPERATION WITH SUNNYCOM ON TWO THEMATIC ROUTES: TEXTILE PRINTING AND LARGE FORMAT

The Italian printing and converting markets are rapidly evolving. Grafitalia and Converflex 2009, on schedule at Fiera Milano exhibition complex from March 24th to 28th 2009, are the reference international showcases presenting the innovations in machinery, supports and equipment for publishing and commercial printing companies, technology and materials for large format printing, an extensive review of solutions for the communication market and for new visitors approaching the printing market as digital technology expands and evolves.
Grafitalia 2009, as the ultimate showcase for cut-edge technology and trends, will add value to the Textile Printing area which is one of the applications of digital printing showing the liveliest expansion. Also, great attention will be drawn to large format printing through a specific thematic route called LARGE FORMAT.

Textile printing, the pride of Italian printing industry, has recently adopted digital technology and expanded it beyond clothing, its traditional field of employment. Textile Printing is today in rapid evolution as a creative and environmental-friendly alternative to other printing techniques used in visual communication, stand preparation, furnishings and art. In the same way, large-format printing, still identified with large advertising posters, is starting to be employed in countless applications and business opportunities.

Both thematic routes will be developed in cooperation with SunnyCom Publishing, a publishing house dedicated to the printed communication industry (among its publications, Italia Publishers, Comunicando, LARGEformat and ToTextile).

In particular, the Textile Printing Solutions thematic route at Grafitalia will be focused on all the possible applications of textile printing, involving all exhibitors offering technology and materials for printing on textiles. Besides showcasing machinery, supports and hardware and software solutions the exhibition will feature dedicated meetings and a tailor-made seminar which will encourage direct contacts between the industry and textile printing professionals, art directors, textile designers, fashion brand managers, advertising agencies and other important market players.
The entire program is made possible by the recent agreement between Centrexpo SpA, organizer of Grafitalia and Converflex and SunnyCom Publishing, a publishing house partner of EDP, and association connected with Centrexpo for the promotion of Grafitalia on a European scale.
The agreement provides for SunnyCom to design two thematic routes and the related seminars dedicated to Textile Printing Solutions and Large Format at Grafitalia 2009. SunnyCom will be involved in gathering industry professionals and organizing seminars dedicated to the public.
