WIFAG Polytype Group acquires L&P/Spuhl Digital Technologies
Monday 03. November 2008 - WIFAG Polytype Group announced the acquisition of Spuhl`s (Switzerland) Digital Printing activities and L&P Digital Technologies (USA) from Leggett & Platt. WIFAG Polytype, headquartered in Berne, Switzerland, is well-known in the graphics industry globally with more than 100 years of printing press manufacturing.
As the leading supplier of high-end newspaper rotary presses (WIFAG), container decorating equipment for the food, cosmetics and packaging industry (Polytype) and the trading with consumables and equipment for the graphics industry (WIFAC) the WIFAG Polytype Group is synonymous with Swiss quality, innovation, productivity, and reliability.
WIFAG Polytpe Group acquired L&P Digital Technologies/Spuhl business, products, technology, knowhow and staff and will integrate this activity as a new division of the WIFAG Polytype Group under the name of WP Digital AG in Switzerland. WP Digital AG will continue the development, sales and service of the former Spuhl digital printers and distribute these products via WP Digital AG worldwide.
