Packaging Dynamics Corporation Announces Hiring of Russ Wanke as Vice President and General Manager of Thilmany Papers

Monday 27. October 2008 - Packaging Dynamics Corporation (the "Company" or "Packaging Dynamics") announced the hiring of Russ Wanke as Vice President and General Manager of its Thilmany Papers business unit.

Commenting on the announcement, Roger M. Prevot, Packaging Dynamics’ Chief Executive officer said, “I am pleased to announce that Russ Wanke has agreed to lead our Thilmany Papers business unit. Russ brings to Thilmany an impressive career of experience and accomplishment in the paper industry. Russ’ extensive mill operating background is an ideal fit for the current needs of our business.”

Mr. Wanke joins Thilmany Papers following 23 years of experience with NewPage Corporation and its predecessors including Stora Enso North America and Consolidated Papers. Most recently, Mr. Wanke was Vice President, Publication Paper Operations at NewPage with responsibility for six North American mills with several million tons of pulp and paper capacity. Previously, he led Stora Enso North America’s fine paper business. Mr. Wanke started his career in the paper industry at Willamette Industries in 1983. Mr. Wanke currently serves on the Executive Board and is a past chairperson for the Wisconsin Paper Council. He has a Paper Science and Engineering degree from University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
