Electronic Ink Announces London Office Expansion

Thursday 25. September 2008 - Electronic Ink, a design consultancy dedicated to improving the way people interact with technology, environments and one another, today announced that it has expanded its full-service London office, according to Harold Hambrose, CEO and founder of the 18-year-old firm.

From London, the new Electronic Ink office serves clients throughout Europe, including Microsoft, E.ON UK, British Petroleum, National Grid, AstraZeneca, IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Sungard and Barclays PLC. Electronic Ink has worked steadily in the UK and Europe since the company was founded in 1990.

“The expansion of our presence in London is a significant milestone for Electronic Ink and for the growing recognition of our capabilities and expertise in areas such as user interface design, usability and human factors and business process analytics for organizations throughout Europe,” said Hambrose.

“Additionally, our growth in London coincides with an increasing interest by companies to maximize the investment they’ve already made in their IT/Enterprise systems,” Hambrose said. “Electronic Ink has a particular depth of experience and expertise in this area.”

The office will be managed by Julian Hirst, a native of the United Kingdom who most recently worked at Electronic Ink’s Philadelphia headquarters as vice president, design strategy. A 1995 graduate of Oxford University with a Master of Arts degree in modern languages, Hirst has 13 years of international experience working with organizations to improve their digital assets and business systems.

The new London office is part of the company’s broader plans to increase its presence worldwide, according to Hambrose.
