Isilon(R) Systems (NASDAQ:ISLN), the leader in clustered storage, and Open Text(TM), a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM), today announced the integration of Isilon IQ clustered storage products, featuring the new OneFS(R) 5.0 operating system, with NFS Maestro(TM) products from Open Text’s Hummingbird(R) Connectivity Solutions Group, providing Windows environments with the speed, simplicity and security of the Network File System (NFS) protocol for data access. With the combination of Isilon IQ and NFS Maestro, enterprise businesses can remove traditional network barriers to data access, accelerating data delivery to increase workflow efficiency and productivity.
Isilon’s next-generation clustered storage systems with OneFS 5.0, deliver up to 20 Gigabytes per second of performance and 2.3 Petabytes of capacity in a single file system and single volume. The NFS Maestro product suite seamlessly integrates with enterprise Windows environments to deliver the performance and reliability inherent to the NFS protocol, without requiring users to manage multiple protocols or learn new network commands.
