RFID Excellence in Business Awards Recognize Innovation, Vision, Environmental Guardianship

Friday 12. September 2008 - Gala Award Ceremony Marks Opening Day of TechInsights' RFID World 2008 Event

TechInsights and RFID Revolution announced the winners of the second annual RFID Excellence in Business Awards at a formal ceremony on the opening day of the RFID World 2008 event at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The awards recognize companies and innovators whose products or implementations demonstrate the benefits of RFID (radio frequency identification) technology.
“We were pleased to receive more than 60 application submissions this year from companies, hospitals and U.S. federal, state, and local governments,” said Leslie Downey, Principal, RFID Revolution. “Our panel of independent judges was very impressed with the quality of the submissions. The winners demonstrated diverse benefits of RFID such maximizing produce purity and freshness, increasing transportation efficiency and helping the seeing-impaired identify objects in their surroundings.”
