S3 Edge Announces Ex-Microsoft RFID Business Leader as New CTO, Expands Management Team

Tuesday 09. September 2008 - Anush Kumar expected to play key role in shaping S3's overall strategy in delivering re-usable, scalable applications on the Microsoft RFID platform.

S3 Edge Software, a Microsoft Partner and provider of Real Time Visibility (RTVS) solutions utilizing RFID and real-time technologies, today announced the appointment of Anush Kumar as its Chief Technology Officer with added responsibility for Strategy and Business Development. Kumar joins S3 following a distinguished career at Microsoft, where he worked on multiple incubations from concept to shipping, the latest of which was the BizTalk RFID platform, a plug and play infrastructure for building scalable RFID solutions. Anush was heavily involved in the early efforts around design and architecture of the Microsoft BizTalk RFID product in addition to building and managing a rich partner eco-system, working with early adopter customers and industry organizations such as EPC Global.

Prior to working on the RFID platform, Anush worked on the business rules engine for Microsoft BizTalk Server, technology that has been deployed by several enterprise customers to improve agility and increase efficiency of their business processes.
