Sony Playstation, Kimberly-Clark and More Join High-Performing Online Advertising Network

Thursday 24. July 2008 - Channel Intelligence Ad Network continues to grow with the addition of several new high-profile manufacturers.

Channel Intelligence, Inc. (CI) announced today the addition of several high-profile manufacturers to the CI Ad Network, a shopping network that connects the product pages of a manufacturer’s web site to participating online retailers carrying those products. The Ad Network is now extended to the web sites of Sony Playstation, Acer, US Robotics, Kimberly-Clark and Screen Life Games, where retail partners are able to take advantage of high lead conversions with an efficient cost-per-acquisition (CPA) model.

“The CI Ad Network continues to add more shopping destinations as manufacturers recognize the potential to send lead referrals directly to retail partners,” said Chuck Kronbach, Senior Vice President of the CI Ad Network. “Typically, 46 percent of consumer traffic to a manufacturer’s site is looking to buy, and the Ad Network provides a where-to-buy solution that creates a win-win situation for the manufacturer, retailer and consumer. We’re seeing excellent results for participating companies and are pleased to welcome these and other manufacturers to the ever-growing network.”

With over 2,000 participating retailers featured on more than 120 manufacturer web sites, the CI Ad Network is a key shopping network for companies in consumer electronics, computing, hardware, tools, toys, and consumer goods verticals. Because consumers visiting a product page on a manufacturer’s web site are often highly motivated to buy that particular product, the Ad Network is also characterized by very high conversion rates for participating retailers – up to four times more than other shopping networks. A contributing factor to the network’s high conversions is that shoppers are passed directly from the manufacturer’s site into the selected retailer’s purchase pages, eliminating distractions from the buying process.

“Shoppers enjoy the ease of purchase because they have already decided they want to buy a product,” notes Shawn Seipler, Vice President of CI Ad Network Sales. “Consumers are provided with full information before they click. They can see accurate pricing and in-stock data and then buy the product immediately from the retailer they prefer.”

For manufacturers and retailers, the CI Ad Network provides an enhanced where-to-buy offering while accelerating online sales and fostering channel partnerships. The network is based on a CPA model, which makes it a very cost-effective marketing program. Participating retailers include such well-known names as Target, PC Mall, Buy.com, Ace Hardware, Circuit City, Tiger Direct, Ritz Interactive, OfficeMax, B&H Photo Video and Newegg.com. A few manufacturers represented in the Ad Network include Yamaha, Black & Decker, Casio, JVC, Motorola Broadband, Magellan, Linksys, Britax and Haier.
