Unite Sign Recognition Agreement With Intertissue – Port Talbot
Friday 18. July 2008 - Unite, the union have signed a recognition agreement with Intertissue, the Port Talbot based paper mill.
Intertissue, who produce quilted tissue and paper towels, voluntarily agreed to sign up to the recognition agreement, which gives Unite rights to negotiate on behalf of the employees on issues such as pay and terms and conditions.
David Lewis, Unite Regional Officer, said: “Unite are pleased that this agreement has been reached voluntarily. It follows a successful campaign to recruit members.
This agreement with Intertissue will be of major benefit not only to our members but all employees and the company. Unite looks forward to working with the company to make this business a success for all concerned.”
