Eurotech Inc., a leading provider of application-ready embedded computer systems for low power and high performance applications, today announces the completion of the merger of Applied Data Systems and Arcom. This announcement is the culmination of careful succession planning to ensure continuity of Eurotech Inc.’s strategy and day-to-day operations and to move the company to a new level of success.

Robert Olsen, Chairman — Formerly the president and CEO of Applied Data Systems, Bob Olsen grew that organization from a handful of employees to over 100 personnel worldwide at the time of the acquisition by Eurotech Group in 2006. Greg Nicoloso, CEO — Greg Nicoloso joined Eurotech Group in 2007 from SIM2 Multimedia, the Italian consumer electronics manufacturer, where he managed the North American operations for the company. Nicoloso’s experience and understanding of the business cultures in Italy and North America provide a unique perspective on the operations of the organization. Nicoloso’s skills in strategy, business, operations, marketing, and sales offer an excellent basis for him to lead Eurotech Inc. as CEO.

Arlen Nipper, President and CTO — Arlen Nipper formerly was the president of Arcom Controls, which was acquired by the Eurotech Group in early 2006. Nipper’s decades of experience in the embedded industry give him an unparalleled depth of knowledge about the problems OEM customers face in bringing long-life products quickly to market and the solutions Eurotech Inc. offers to remedy those issues. Nipper has a distinctive ability to provide technology vision in a way that translates to embedded systems and software that meets market requirements.

Chris Houghton, COO — Chris Houghton has 20 years of experience in the industrial controls industry, with a focus on oil and gas pipeline and was formerly the CEO for the US and UK branches of Arcom. As COO for Eurotech Inc., Houghton runs the operations, engineering, research and development, and customer support functions of the Eurotech Inc. organization with locations in the US and Asia, including worldwide coordination and oversight of contract manufacturing facilities.

Sebastian Bain, CFO — Sebastian Bain joined Arcom Controls in 1982 as Financial Director. Prior to the acquisition by Eurotech Group, Bain managed all financial aspects for the publicly traded corporate parent. As CFO for Eurotech Inc., Bain remains focused on managing the financial risk for the organization with additional responsibility for presenting financial results to Eurotech Group.
