PROPER USE ASSURED WITH NEW PACKAGING
Tuesday 01. July 2008 - A TricorBraun packaging makeover for a leading salon hair product has helped assure that stylists use it correctly, in addition to reducing costs.
Affirm Cream Relaxer, a two-stage hair regimen, had been sold to salons with a four-ounce bottle containing the pre-treatment taped to a four-pound tub. Frequently, the pre-treatment was lost or misplaced, once stylists began using the product.
The new packaging includes an indentation in the tub into which the 4-ounce pre-treatment bottle snaps into place. Called a “kangaroo tub,” it helps stylists remember both steps for their customers.
Also, the new packaging made assembly more efficient, as well as making shipping and storage more economical, because additional product fits into a case.
As part of the makeover, TricorBraun re-designed a new lid that is a custom fit for the “kangaroo tub.”
