DuPont Names Chong as Vice President & General Manager – DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings, Weber as Vice President & General Manager – DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers

Wednesday 18. June 2008 - DuPont has named BC Chong as vice president and general manager - DuPont Automotive OEM Coatings, succeeding Marty M. McQuade who plans to retire later this year following 31 years of service.

William F. Weber, currently global business director – Ethylene Copolymers in Packaging & Industrial Polymers, will succeed Chong as vice president and general manager – DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers. Both Chong’s and Weber’s positions take effect July 1.

In 2009, Chong, 46, will relocate to Shanghai — a move that will further strengthen the business’ market position in Asia Pacific where a significant part of the automotive industry’s future growth is expected to be generated. DuPont also operates OEM Coatings business centers in the Europe and the Americas regions. Since joining DuPont in 1989 in Singapore, Chong has held a variety of business leadership roles in strategic planning, marketing and operations in Asia Pacific and the United States.

Weber, 48, has held a range of leadership roles, including marketing and operations, in multiple business units since joining the company in 1981.
