Presstek DI to be Distributed by German Dealer, Rolf Schmidt KG

Presstek, Inc., the leading manufacturer and marketer of digital offset printing business solutions, has announced the appointment of Rolf Schmidt KG as an additional new dealer in Germany. Based in Ronnenberg near Hanover, the well-established partner and distributor for prepress, digital printing, related media and customer services will focus on the distribution of the Presstek 52DI and 34DI digital offset presses in Germanys northern regions.

Pressteks highly automated sheetfed, four-color digital offset presses offer one of the most profitable solutions for quick turnaround, short-run high quality color printing. DI presses do not require separate prepress systems since the chemistry-free plates are imaged directly on the press. The Presstek DI offers one of the lowest costs per sheet at run lengths of 500 to 10,000, which offers a key advantage since 80 percent of the color printing market is 5,000 impressions or less, according to Dr. Joe Webb. In addition, more jobs can be delivered in less time with the DIs ability to go from digital file to sellable color within 10 minutes while delivering up to 300 lpi and stochastic screening – without incurring additional time or expense.

Presstek 52DI – This landscape digital offset press operates at up to 10,000 impressions per hour with a maximum sheet size of 520 x 375 mm (20.47 x 14.76″), delivering up to 20,000 A4 pages per hour.
Presstek 34DI – This digital offset press produces up to 7,000, 340 x 460 mm (13.39 x 18.11″) sheets per hour, delivering up to 14,000 A4 pages an hour.
