The Artemis Transat – Fujifilm yacht – day 18
Saturday 31. May 2008 - Alex is in the closing stages of the Artemis Transat and when I spoke with him earlier he was counting down the nautical miles - just 59 to the finish.
He said: “To say Im really tired would be an understatement and last night was a really hard night.
“Im sailing at a good speed on flat seas now and into the wind again so I should be in Marblehead at the finish in about 10 hours – getting in at about 6pmish US time. Its been great but knackering and I cant quite believe that its coming to an end!”
Alex is currently in 6th position.
