Wednesday 28. May 2008 - KIP to launch world’s first Wide Format High Speed Colour, Plain Paper, Toner Based Printer at DRUPA 2008

KIP UK Limited, the UK’s only dedicated supplier/manufacturer of wide-format digital reprographic systems, has announced their attendance at DRUPA, the world’s leading exhibition for the print and media industry, to be held in Dusseldorf from 29th May to 11th June

The highlight for KIP will be their European launch of the KIP Color 80, which is the world’s first and only wide format LED toner based printer. KIP believe this device will change the landscape for volume wide format colour printing. The Color 80 is capable of astonishing output speeds, producing an A0 print every 17 seconds (almost 4 x A0 sheets per minute) regardless of image coverage or complexity.

One of the many features of the Color 80 is its ability to print onto regular bond paper as well as a range of more specialised media types all of which are instantly dry and UV stable.

The KIP Color 80 print system is designed for printing professionals who require high speed production of colour documents, business communications and display graphics. The system covers the full spectrum of applications from Architectural, engineering and construction documents to posters, signs, and photo enlargements- with maximum quality and performance.

As well as the Color 80, KIP will be showcasing their recently launched KIP9000, an ultra high volume, wide format printer and IPS control system. The 9000 rises to all the challenges of 21st century reproduction, such as the need to accurately reproduce complex, greyscale prints, and for example native printing of the fast growing AutoDESK DWF format, with a simple to use yet comprehensive interface. This Ultra high demand printing system ensures that print volume is always satisfied even when peak demand occurs last thing on a Friday afternoon.

The KIP9000 features include as standard the benefits of touch screen operation, for security access and cost control, together with Internet based printing, as well as colour copying to existing inkjet printers.

KIP’s open architecture IPS software enables users to gain all the benefits of KIP HDP Print Quality and Ultra High Speed Production without the need to change existing workflow patterns and embedded software, either in-house or at remote user location, enabling smooth and seamless integration.
