Prism Releases New Software for Drupa 2008
Monday 26. May 2008 - KPI Dashboards, Dynamic Scheduling, JDF Integration, and Microsoft .NET Framework are among the many new features being demonstrated by Prism in Hall 7a, Stand 12c
Prism WIN KPI Dashboards
Prism WINs latest module is the browser-based Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard with graphical and intuitive indicators of sales performance, production performance and consolidated executive KPIs. Based on the runaway success of QTMS iQ Manager management consoles, the KPI dashboards are configurable, real time representations of business, sales, and production performance.
Prism WIN and QTMS Dynamic Scheduling
Prism WIN Scheduling helps monitor deadlines and maximizes plant efficiency. It considers job prerequisites, such as proof OKs, available plates, and available shifts to move work forward. A “what-if” mode allows you to see the results of switching variables, such as adding a shift or changing a job order. The clear graphical Gantt chart lets you see connected tasks and makes it easy to identify bottlenecks. For the first time, this module is available as an option with QTMS for fully integrated production management.
JDF Integration
Prism continues to lead in cross vendor integration delivering a synchronized business solution for its customers. Prism WIN and QTMS have always been open solutions and now include integration with its many partners. At Drupa, Prism will be demonstrating connectivity with Litho Technics Metrix, Kodak Prinergy, Esko, and MAN Roland. Prism WIN is the hub for job planning through production, commercial printing to packaging.
Microsoft .NET Framework
The latest version of Prism WIN and QTMS iQ are built on the flexible, familiar, and attractive Microsoft .NET framework. In addition to the obvious changes to the graphical user interface that we will be showcasing at Drupa, this framework allows WIN and QTMS iQ to set new levels for open systems. Through Prism WIN Connect, printers have unprecedented flexibility to connect to external systems through JDF and Prisms own XML-based programming interface, facilitating B2B e-Commerce, true supply-chain management, and streamlining internal business processes.
