AlphaMed Press Names George Kendall Vice President, Operations and Business Development
Thursday 15. May 2008 - AlphaMed Press, publisher of the internationally renowned journals Stem Cells and The Oncologist, has promoted George Kendall Vice President, Operations & Business Development.
Ann Murphy, AlphaMed’s president, said, “We congratulate George who has managed AlphaMed’s journals, Stem Cells and The Oncologist, and related publications, since he joined the company in early 2007 as Director of Operations & Business Development. George brings over ten years experience in scientific and medical publishing management experience, including at the prestigious Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences where he managed production, marketing and licensing. As our Vice President, Operations and Business Development, George will continue to expand the journals’ circulation, including international readership and Web presence, while insuring that the journals’ core values and high editorial standards for physicians and scientists are kept inviolate.”
According to George Kendall, “working with Ann and the AlphaMed Press team, it will be an honor in this new capacity to continue to help foster growth and direction for AlphaMed Press as we look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”
George was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Maryland and a Master of Arts degree in Literary Studies from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
