UTECO GROUP AT THE DRUPA SHOW
Monday 26. May 2008 - Uteco Group will be attending to the Drupa show with a dynamic and highly technological booth. The booth nr. E04, Hall 3 will feature the latest Utecos innovation in Flexographic and Gravure printing. The focal point of the booth will be the high speed Flexo press Diamond HP 808 which will be running.
The Diamond HP 808 features state-of-the-art technologies that place it with top contenders in the industry:
– Printing speed up to 500 m/min
– Deck make ready while machine is running
– New pneumatically suspended chamber doctor blades tool-less by Uteco
– P2P: the automatic correction of printing pressure at print speed change
– IDP (“Ink-Deck Presetting): automatic setting of registers and printing pressure at job start-up by video camera from BST model PREMIUS
– Inline color density and “dot gain” measurement system , type “vipPAQ” supplied by the company X-Rite.

At the Drupa show the Diamond will print high resolution images on film for the flexible packaging with water based inks and using both photopolymer plates and engraved sleeves.
Two gravure units will be displayed:
– One gravure unit “Q-Press” model, featuring the new frontier in short-run gravure printing: Sleeve-based gravure cylinders with on-board sleeve change. This press comes standard with direct drive electronic lineshaft, fully automatic on-board washing system, and Uteco’s “Smart Pack” software package for recipe management including multi-angle doctor blade memorization
– One gravure unit “M-Press” model, featuring tailor-made technology with the maximum flexibility in machine configuration. This press is characterized with direct drive of the engraved cylinder (electric shaft), job change by means of interchangeable trolleys and RotoSmartPackOD, Uteco engineering platform for improved performance and profitability in “On-Demand” gravure printing
The 400 sqm booth will also host the 3S Converting, the Service Company of Uteco Group specialized globally in providing services to the machines and processes related to flexographic and gravure printing, and the many aspects of the converting world.
