New Retail Industry Compliance and EPC Performance Testing Programs Speed RFID Adoption
Thursday 17. April 2008 - EPCglobal-Accredited RFID Solution Center Offers New Course, Helping Suppliers and Major Retailers Reduce Implementation Time and Improve ROI
Alien Technology, a leader in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Ultra High Frequency (UHF) products and services, today announced the availability of RFID Comply! – a three-day workshop combining instruction in the art and science of retail industry RFID compliance with product certification through Aliens EPCglobal Accredited Performance Test Center at the RFID Solution Center in Dayton, Ohio.
“The RFID Solution Center is a player-agnostic ecosystem built to spur the rapid and successful adoption of RFID,” said Mark McDonald, interim director of the RFID Solution Center. “Over the past two years we have seen end users, solution providers, software developers, universities, and a host of RFID hardware manufacturers use the center to prove-out a solution.”
RFID Comply! leverages the RFID Solutions Center, a 23,000 square foot vendor-neutral education, research, and partner collaboration center housing a 15,000 square foot simulated supply chain environment. Upon completing the interactive, lab-based learning portion of the program, students team with RSC engineers to apply to their own product EPCglobal testing procedures in the EPC Accredited Performance Test Center. Authorized to conduct both Dynamic Dock Door Portal and Dynamic Conveyor Portal testing, the RFID Solution Center will, upon completion of the program, certify the suppliers product for supply chain performance.
Upon completing the RFID Comply! program participants will be well-equipped to successfully ship product in compliance with retailer requirements.
