Tuesday 20. January 2026 - This years audit was particularly notable as it was conducted against the new BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 7 standard, with the site receiving only one minor non-conformance report (NCR) while achieving the prestigious AA Grade.

The BRCGS Packaging Materials certification is a globally recognised benchmark for packaging excellence, ensuring the production of safe, high-quality, and compliant packaging materials. Securing AA Grade under the new Issue 7 standard further demonstrates Eco Flexibles’ ongoing commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement across the food packaging supply chain.

This achievement comes as Eco Flexibles continues to expand its state-of-the-art production capabilities, including dual Fujifilm Jet Press FP790 digital presses and Karlville Swiss pouching machines. The latest BRCGS Packaging Materials certification reinforces the company’s position as a trusted, end-to-end partner for brand owners seeking sustainable and high-quality packaging solutions.

David Smith, General Manager at Eco Flexibles, said: “Achieving AA Grade certification for the second year running, and against the new BRCGS Packaging Materials Issue 7 standard, is a tremendous endorsement of our team’s dedication and expertise. Only one minor NCR was raised, which reflects the robust systems and processes we have in place to deliver the highest standards consistently.”

“Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and this certification proves we combine innovation with operational excellence. It ensures our brand partners can have complete confidence in the safety, quality, and compliance of our packaging as we continue to help them transition to recyclable mono-material and paper-based solutions.”

With BRCGS standards implemented at over 36,000 sites across more than 130 countries, Eco Flexibles’ AA Grade certification under Issue 7 provides reassurance to customers that the company meets a globally recognised benchmark for packaging excellence and food safety.
