The Nozomi 14000 LED press represents the latest platform in EFI’s ultra-fast single-pass digital printing technology for printing on corrugated board. It features a robust design that is suitable for industrial applications and offers a balance between speed, quality and reliability. It enables direct printing on corrugated board and processing of all flute shapes. The press impresses with minimal downtime and easy operation and maintenance, enabling packaging manufacturers to print continuously. In addition, the press offers the productivity benefits of clog-free, high-performance printheads and fail-safe solutions that prevent downtime due to damaged plates.
On course for growth with Nozomi
The investment in the Nozomi 14000 LED will play a key role in Caesar Pac’s growth plans, as it will allow the company to expand its customer base to include buyers who require smaller job quantities. The printer is due to be installed this quarter and will also allow the company to target higher-margin jobs and new markets, such as signage.
“Our previous model was geared towards large companies requiring high volumes of cartons,” explains Tamer Hozayen, CEO of Caesar Pac. “The Nozomi 14000 LED will enable us to penetrate new markets with short runs, increase our profitability and print higher quality cartons while strengthening our positioning as an industry leader.”
Sustainable production is an important issue
Sustainability is a key benefit for Caesar Pac with its new press. The Nozomi 14000 LED offers up to 35% lower energy consumption than flexo printing and produces virtually no FOV emissions. Thanks to the highly efficient printing process and reduced waste, Caesar Pac eliminates the need for plates and ink mixes, water for cleaning and complex inventory management. EFI Nozomi inks are fully recyclable and repulpable and also have UL GREENGUARD Gold certification for low chemical emissions.
Hozayen further explains, “When producing high quality packaging products for our customers, we consider the impact on the planet and are committed to using sustainable packaging materials, processes and environmentally conscious suppliers – and this was a key reason for purchasing the Nozomi 14000 LED. Low energy consumption and fully recyclable prints were among the key decision criteria.”
The latest version of EFI’s Fiery NZ-1000 digital front-end, used to control the press, achieves rapid processing at full print speed thanks to EFI’s state-of-the-art DFE platform – Fiery FS500 Pro. Other solutions that are part of the Fiery digital front-end and workflow solution for the 14000 LED press include Fiery Edge, colour profiling technology for instant colour and quality improvements; Smart Ink Estimator, image analysis software for exceptionally accurate ink cost data; and Fiery JobExpert, an intelligent offering for saving time in job setup by automatically selecting the right colour and image settings. In addition, the Fiery digital front end can connect to EFI IQ. This is a robust, comprehensive suite of cloud business intelligence and management applications, some free and some for a fee.
Driving business and economic success
Caesar Pac proudly takes a pioneering role in the country by being the first user of the high-speed digital single-pass corrugated press. Hozayen notes, “Not only will the Nozomi 14000 LED have a positive impact on our business growth, we also believe that it will help our new SME customers grow their business as they will be able to order smaller batches of high quality boxes to suit their needs. This will ultimately boost the country’s business sector – and that is our main goal.”
“Our research and development work has revealed that a highly productive and reliable solution for digital corrugated printing with a compact footprint is urgently needed in the global market. The launch of the Nozomi 14000 LED in Kuwait and our growing global customer base confirm this,” said Evandro Matteucci, vice president and general manager, Packaging and Building Materials, EFI Inkjet. “EFI is very pleased to partner with Caesar Pac and support the company with the Nozomi 14000 LED, the first single-pass corrugated inkjet press in Kuwait. We are already looking forward to bringing the benefits of our technology to their customers and brands.”
