EFI Fiery acquires production and design workflow software provider CADlink

CADlinks products are leaders in design, CADlink software is a key enabler of personalised and customised digital print products.

Fiery, the digital front-end (DFE) and workflow business of Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (“EFI), today announced the acquisition of CADlink Technology Corp, an industry-leading software company that delivers solutions for the high-growth areas of digital direct-to-garment (DTG) and direct-to-film (DTF) printing, as well as digital cutting and engraving, wide-format digital printing and vehicle wrapping. CADlink’s products meet increasingly important customer needs for customisation and personalisation, as well as reducing the time it takes to go from design to production.
Based in Ottawa, Canada, CADlink is a global software company serving markets that require unique workflows with different types of production equipment. CADlink’s products are recognised leaders in design, RIP and workflow technology and are distributed to customers worldwide through OEM partners and an extensive dealer network. CADlink’s products, partners and distribution channels are a natural complement to what the Fiery business offers its global customer base in commercial, signage and industrial printing.
CADlink and EFI Fiery have a long history of investing in colour management, RIP and workflow solutions to help their customers maximise the productivity of their digital printing and imaging systems.

CADlink’s software portfolio includes proven, advanced solutions that drive the development and growth of e-commerce for custom manufactured products.

The CADlink team will join EFI Fiery and continue to operate from their current offices. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
