MJETeco: KURZ Groups digital printing unit impresses with quality and efficiency

Tuesday 13. September 2022 - MJETeco is designed for the efficient subsequent individualisation of labels that have already been finished and weeded. Among other things, it can be used to apply text imprints as well as QR and barcodes in pin-sharp resolution.

Sought and found – the specialist for sparkling wine and wine labels Münster druck design in Oestrich-Winkel, Hesse, will in future rely on the digital printing unit MJETeco from MPRINT. The subsidiary of LEONHARD KURZ is a globally active manufacturer of digital printing and finishing machines for the graphic arts industry.

Exceptional print quality and impressive speed
With the MJETeco, MPRINT relies on proven monojet technology, which ensures outstanding print quality and can be used on a wide range of substrates – including difficult, open-pored materials.
UV-LED-curable inks are used. This allows both conventionally (flexo or offset) and digitally printed labels to be overprinted and customised. In addition to the versatile application possibilities, the press also stands out for its impressive speed of up to 75 m/min. This makes it easy to efficiently customise large quantities in a short time.
MJETeco impresses in live demonstrations
Münster druck design was able to convince itself of the advantages of the digital printing unit during the KURZ LABEL WEEKS. At the large in-house exhibition on the premises of the company’s headquarters in Fürth, LEONHARD KURZ presented innovative solutions for surface finishing in the label and packaging sector as well as an extensive selection of machines – including the MJETeco – on an area of more than 400 square metres. “We were looking for a unit for individualising already finished wine labels that could overprint uncoated papers in particular to a high standard. It was important for us to specifically test the quality of digital printing on our customer substrates – we had the perfect opportunity to do so at the KURZ LABEL WEEKS,” explains Klaus Münster, Managing Director of Münster druck design, and continues: “On site at KURZ, we printed our customer-specific material directly during live jobs and optimised the print image together. On the one hand, we were impressed by the uncomplicated operation of the press. On the other hand, the outstanding print quality and high speed convinced us. Last but not least, the flexibility was an argument: the unit can be easily expanded with various optional components and was thus even better adapted to our individual requirements.”
Experience MJETeco live during KURZ LABEL WEEKS
The digital printing unit will be delivered to Münster druck design after the end of KURZ LABEL WEEKS. Until then, it will be on display at KURZ’s in-house exhibition. “Interested parties will have the opportunity to experience both the MJETeco and many other highlights of our group of companies live until 28 October,” explains Martina Mzyk, Marketing Manager at KURZ, adding, “We are looking forward to demonstrating our DM-UNILINER 2D and 3D finishing machines in addition to the digital printing units, to informing you about groundbreaking processes as well as sustainable solutions and to exchanging ideas with them in person.”
