Jason Longley Appointed National Sales Manager UK & Ireland at SCREEN Europe

Wednesday 20. July 2022 - Jason Longley has been appointed National Sales Manager UK & Ireland at SCREEN Europe with effect from 1 May 2022. In this role, Longley will be responsible for sales of SCREENs Truepress Jet520HD series of high-speed inkjet presses in the UK and Ireland.

Longley has many years of relevant industry experience. For 11 years he was with Konica Minolta – most recently as head of commercial press sales in the UK. He also spent time in the dealer network and five years at Imation UK, where he was primarily responsible for the company’s proofing solutions.
Prior to moving into sales and marketing, Longley worked as an operator and production manager in the printing industry for 18 years. He also founded and operated his own commercial printing company.

However, I firmly believe that commercial printing has reached a tipping point where the highly reliable and durable continuous inkjet systems are now also on par with commercial printing in terms of quality and cost of ownership. The fact that the new generation 520HD can now print on traditional offset stocks is truly groundbreaking.”
Longley says that while continuous inkjet printing may not be suitable for all commercial printers. But because the technology has evolved so tremendously in recent years, “commercial printers simply can’t avoid taking a closer look before investing in conventional offset or toner-based presses.”
