Konica Minoltas Accurio Press C14000 Series receives Red Dot Award 2021

Monday 19. April 2021 - Konica Minolta has received further recognition for its flagship production printer, the AccurioPress C14000 series, with a globally recognised design award. The technology leader was named the winner of the Red Dot Awards: Product Design 2021 following a record number of entries.

An international jury recognised the “outstanding” design of the AccurioPress C14000 series, which was also recognised six months ago at the Japan Institute of Design Promotion’s Good Design Award 2020. The AccurioPress C14000 prints at 140 pages per minute (PPM) in A4, 40% faster than any other Konica Minolta toner-based system. The AccurioPress C12000 offers the same high print quality and a similarly fast speed of 120 pages per minute.
Launched in October 2019, the award-winning printing systems – which include the AccurioPress C12000 – support Konica Minolta’s drive to support the digital transformation of its customers across all industries. To do this, the 10-year-old leader in production printing anticipates potential challenges and creates collaborative solutions.
“Never before in the 60-year history of our design competition have so many companies and design studios faced the professional judgement of our international jury as this year,” said Professor Dr Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. “Products from 60 countries reached us, and their design quality and degree of innovation were evaluated in a process lasting several days. The fact that Konica Minolta was able to prevail in such a strong field speaks for the outstanding quality of its products. The international jury only awards this coveted seal of quality to products that stand out for their outstanding design.”
Oliver Becker, Head of Professional Printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Germany, says: “We are proud and delighted to have won this coveted global design award. It is further confirmation that we are not only leading the way in print transformation, but also setting new standards in product design, incorporating automation technologies that enhance the quality, reliability and effectiveness of our products. The higher print quality, faster print speed, less manual intervention and greater ease of use also improve efficiency and provide new opportunities for our customers to reduce costs and create further business opportunities. Through our dedicated on-site support, we work closely and in partnership with our customers to help them rethink the way they print.”
