Romprix expands into new market segments with HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press

Monday 14. September 2020 - Romprix, Romanias leading digital print service provider, has announced the addition of an HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press to its printing fleet, the first to be installed in Romania. The installation of the new HP Indigo 20000 is part of the companys strategy to increase productivity in label production and expand into new market segments such as flexible packaging, shrink-sleeve and wrap-around labels.

As the leading digital print service provider in Romania, it was important for Romprix to maintain its competitiveness and expand its services to flexible packaging printing. Romprix saw the new HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press’s integrated ecosystem as the perfect solution to answering the current market demands for shorter runs, improve brand loyalty and increase sales through customisation and personalisation campaigns for flexible packaging, varied SKU’s and seasonal campaigns. In addition to its high-quality performance, HP Indigo technology also ensures reduced production waste compared to the conventional flexographic process and brings energy efficiency. Together with its supplies and takeback program, the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press fits perfectly into Romprix’s sustainability objectives.
A firm advocate of HP Indigo Technology, Romprix has been using HP Indigo Digital presses for almost a decade. “Romprix keeps its promise to invest in technology to produce with innovative, state-of-the-art equipment. We were the first in Romania to put an HP Indigo Digital Press for label production in 2011 and have since added three HP Indigo Digital Presses to our printing fleet,” said Cristian Dobrot?, CEO at Romprix. “As we continue to expand our services and deliver to the needs of the market, we’re pleased to install our first HP Indigo 20000 for the production of flexible packaging, labels and sleeves. With the global packaging market constantly growing, we look forward to explore new possibilities with HP Indigo technologies.”
Romprix also uses HP PrintOS to access important information and ensure real-time press performance and PrintOS Composer for heavy VDP processing. Additionally, the availability of successful campaigns on Marketplace has been valuable to unlocking new opportunities for the business.
Designed for demanding, round-the-clock production operations, the HP Indigo 20000 offers new packaging opportunities for flexible packaging converters. HP Indigo’s well-integrated ecosystem enables users to efficiently and profitably meet the changing market demands for shorter runs, more varied SKU’s and customised campaigns. HP Indigo is the only digital colour printing process that matches gravure quality and is safe for primary food packaging.
