New sales appointments as Bernhard Grob retires from Edale
Wednesday 04. January 2017 - Having reached the age of 65 and after 30 years of working with Edale, Bernhard Grob has announced his retirement from Edale. His plan is to focus on spending more time with his family while continuing to remain active as a consultant within the narrow web industry.
Bernhard Grob joined the company in 1987 as the European Sales Manager and shortly became Managing Director of Edale Ltd. After stepping down from the post in 2000, Bernhard took up the role of Export Sales Director to focus on growing Edale overseas into the globally-recognised company it is today.
“I would like to take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to the many people I have met and friends I have made all over the world during my career,” says Bernhard. “A particular thank you to Grahame Barker, the owner of Edale Ltd, with whom I have shared many successful years and I wish him and his team every success. I will continue to be active within the industry, passing on my experience and sharing knowledge.”
Edale have taken the opportunity to strengthen their sales team and appoint two new Sales Managers. Darren Pickford joins Edale as Sales Manager and brings a vast amount of experience within the industry having previously worked for Bobst and Nordmeccanica. Darren will continue to build on Edales success in Export sales alongside strengthening the companys worldwide agent and distributor network. Simon Cosh joins Edale in January 2017 as UK Sales Manager strengthening Edales position within the UK.
