LFP - Large-Format-Printing

CCS digital_fabric

Monday 18. April 2016 - Large-format textile prints of unrivaled quality in any size

CCS digital_fabric was founded in 1979 as “Color Copy Service”, a printing company specialized in rush prints, overhead transparencies and direct color copies. They have been developing new products and holistic solutions for digital printing based on their years of practical experience and customer specifications ever since.
In 1996 the owner-operated company went a step further establishing itself as the first digital textile printer on the European market. In keeping with its newly acquired core competency, the company was rebranded as CCS digital_fabric four years later. The company’s brainchild, the fabric_frame, combines digital textile prints with silicon edging on all sides (“Keder”) and an aluminum framing system developed in-house. CCS digital_fabric stands out as a driver of innovation and trailblazer in the digital printing industry to this day and is constantly working on customized high-quality solutions.

All under one roof
To ensure that its high standards for quality are met, CCS digital_fabric’s 2,800 square meter facility in the north of Düsseldorf houses its entire production process from start to finish. Approximately 90 employees work hand in hand to consistently deliver the best possible results. From processing raw data, its own in-house metalworking and sewing facility to its quality management, everything here is “Made in Germany”.

Variety and innovation
CCS digital_fabric stays ahead of the curve using cutting-edge technology, meeting the individual needs of each of every customer. Prints of unrivaled quality up to three meters wide and at most 100 meters long, as well as special formats and custom-made designs, can be produced and delivered in reliable quality on short notice. Its products range from conventional prints to holistic acoustic solutions and backlit panels with LEDs.

The base
fabric_frame is a polyester-based textile with silicon edging on all sides that fits seamlessly into a grooved aluminum framing system developed by CCS digital_fabric in-house. The silicon edging and groove interlock to produce an even, virtually rimless printed surface.

The print
All textiles used meet not only the highest quality standards, but are B1 certified as flame resistant materials. An emphasis is placed on color fastness as well as water-based, solvent and odor free dyes when selecting pigments. These dyes have been specially developed for use with dye sublimation heat transfer printers: the dye is heated and then sublimates into the textile by means of a transfer paper. A particular benefit of this method is that the printed material is washable and can be folded without resulting in stress whitening.
