Tapematic SpA Introduces CPrint and TPrint and Increases Production of PST Line

October 2015 - Tapematic SpA introduces the CPrint high volume, industrial UV Digital Inkjet Cylindrical Printer for objects such as Tubes, Closures, Caps, etc. With output speeds up to 80 ppm allows the CPrint to sustain the high volume at an extremely low cost per unit. The CPrint has been installed in several facilities where they are in operation 24/7.

The PST Line is a fully-automated In-Line UV Coating and Metallisation system for threedimensional objects. It is well-suited for the beverage closure and cosmetics industries. The PST Line has been installed in several facilities around the world where they are in operation 24/7.
Davide Perego, COO, says, “The PST Line has been developed in-house as a fully integrated system for the base coating, metallisation and top coating of three dimensional objects as used on beverage closures (whiskey, Vodka, etc.) and in various forms for the cosmetics industry. The PST Line utilises UV cured coatings for both the Base Coat and Top Coat, which is more environmentally friendly as there are virtually zero solvents used. Additionally, the coating system (fully developed in-house) reduces the amount of waste due to the innovative technology used – Spray-on-Demand. The three dimensional metalliser, again fully designed in-house, employs a load-lock system which maintains the main chamber in high vacuum allowing objects to be loaded and unloaded without loosing main vacuum pressure.”

The TPrint which employs Single Pass UV Digital Inkjet Drop-on-Demand technology allows the printing of flat objects and also concave or convex objects to be printed at high speed onto various substrates. When combined with the CPrint allows a fully automated system which automatically print both the cylindrical object and the top of the object as in the case of closures.”
