Taylor Bloxham Group stops the press for new investment
Wednesday 20. May 2015 - Taylor Bloxham Group stopped production for one hour and invited their employees to join them for cake and sandwiches to celebrate the new Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105.
Taylor Bloxham Group have invested in a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105. The new 12 colour press will increase capacity by 30% and has brought an influx of new jobs to the Group. All of which is part of their strategy to cope with the ever growing demand for print. To celebrate the launch of the new press the Group invited the City Mayor, Peter Soulsby, local MP Liz Kendall and Northampton Saints rugby player Phil Dowson to their Stop the Press event.
The colour monitoring technology in the Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 105 recognises any deviations in colour and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure maximum consistency over the entire run.
It’s been a six month effort at the Group to ensure everything was ready for the installation of the new press. Prior to the arrival of the Heidelberg Speedmaster, the Group invested in two new pieces of machinery as part of their long-term plan for efficiency.
This new XL press along with the company’s existing 6 colour XL press has allowed Taylor Bloxham to enter the packaging market as these devices are capable of printing up to 1000 microns. Taylor Bloxham has already produced high quality packaging using their HD printing method for a number of customers who demand high quality packaging for high quality products.
Chris Bowen, CEO commented,
“The installation of this press marks another milestone in our group wide strategy and is focussed on ensuring that we stay at the forefront of supplying our customers with high quality, cost effective solutions.”
