The business of online advertising is becoming more and more important for publishers. As digital and mobile news services continue to gain in popularity, elements like wall paper, banners or video ads are becoming indispensable to local and regional daily newspapers’ web pages. This means that the publishers’ advertising departments have a lot of work to do. The Rhein Main publishing group (VRM) has remedied this situation by automating these elaborate and costly processes. They have brought in ppi Media’s AdX Digital to meet their online and mobile needs as well as fully integrated ppi Media’s ad production system, AdMan. The Rhein Main publishing group can now book, design, manage and deliver digital advertising materials to the ad server quickly and efficiently. Once the campaign has begun, AdX constantly receives information on clicks and ad impressions from the ad server.
Hamburg, January 22, 2015. By deciding in favor of ppi Media’s AdX in online and mobile areas, the Rhein Main publishing group has optimized its digital ad workflow. By more deeply integrating AdX into the ad production system AdMan, the Rhein Main publishing group will also be able to create, process and then deliver display ads to their digital media channels. “This eliminates a lot of manual work. Our advertising marketing department no longer has to struggle with any sort of elaborate processing of online advertising materials. Now we can concentrate even more fully on sales.” says Mr. Oliver Walz, director of Rhein Main Digital GmbH. This new workflow makes the Rhein Main publishing group a pioneer in their field. They are the first media company to combine ppi Media’s digital ad solutions.
A digital ad workflow that is easy and efficient
Combining AdMan and AdX allows the Rhein Main publishing group to handle digital display ads easily and efficiently. This is because AdMan produces or receives static and dynamic flash banners with custom creative codes. When everything is ready to be published, the data is transferred to AdX after being booked with SAP IS-M/AM. Then the integrated ad server delivers the file automatically to Rhein Main’s web pages and sends the number of clicks and ad impression to AdX. “We use this principle for both of our main publications, the Allgemeine Zeitung in Mainz and the Wiesbadener Kurier as well as our local editions. This enables us to design our digital ad management safely and efficiently,” explains Oliver Walz. The Rhein Main publishing group has long put their trust in ppi Media’s workflow solutions, for both digital and print media. The online ad workflow is scheduled to go live in Spring 2015.
