RISI and WTiN Launch second Asia Pacific Nonwovens Symposium

Monday 03. November 2014 - RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry, announced that details are now confirmed for the second Asia Pacific Nonwovens Symposium, to be held May 11-12, 2015 in Shanghai, China.

The two-day event will be organized by World Textile Information Network (WTiN) and RISI who will bring together representatives from across the global nonwovens industry. Presentations and discussions will focus on market developments and trends in the region with the theme of “Hygiene Markets in China – From Now to 2020.”
China’s fast-growing marketplace for nonwovens fabrics and its rapidly increasing demand for products across the hygiene segment are now overtaking those in the US. This will provide a particularly wide scope for debate and discussion.
Agenda topics will include baby diaper demand and quality trends, disposable hygiene supply chain trends, the role of online sales in China’s evolving hygiene markets, and the development of quality equipment to meet future market demands.
The 2015 event comes after the great success of the inaugural Asia Pacific Nonwovens Symposium, held in October 2013, in Shanghai. Delegates especially praised the level of networking opportunities at the event, with executives in attendance from companies including Heng’An, Kimberly-Clark, Johnson & Johnson, Kao Corporation, L’Oreal, Procter & Gamble, SCA, PGI Nonwovens, Winner Medical, Domtar, Eastman, Fameccanica, First Quality Nonwovens, Glatfelter, HB Fuller, Bostik and Henkel.
The 2015 Asia Pacific Nonwovens Symposium will be held at the Intercontinental Shanghai Hotel. The event will take place ahead of the SINCE and ANEX 2015 exhibition, from May 13-15, 2015
