ACIMGA meets top US Flexo players in Baltimore

Thursday 15. May 2014 - A crowded seminar promoted by the Italian industry association during the FTA FORUM, the annual standard-setting event for the American market

Italian manufacturers of printing machinery cheek by jowl with the most prominent international stakeholders: this was made possible by ACIMGA (the national industry association) on April 29th in Baltimore, during the FTA ANNUAL FORUM – the leading flexography event in the US produced by FTA (Flexographic Technical Association).
The meeting consisted of a convivial seminar taking place at a crucial time of the event (held from April 27th to 30th). Participants numbered around 90 including businessmen, industry professionals, agents, university professors, students, trainers and international associations.
Hosted by ACIMGA president Marco Calcagni and former president Felice Rossini, participants welcomed the opportunity for high-level discussion with top players of the flexo industry. Discussion topics included the latest developments in Italy’s economic scenario, with particular reference to ACIMGA’s actions and the upcoming edition of Converflex – the industry’s standard setting-event taking place from May 19th to 23rd 2015. The seminar provided a great deal of interesting ideas and promoted new business contacts as well as the sharing of expert views on technical matters.
The event by ACIMGA (which stands for Italian manufacturers association of machinery for the graphic, converting and paper industry) took place during an edition of the FTA FORUM and of the exhibition INFO*FLEX, with the record-setting presence of 1,800 delegates in Baltimore.
“With this seminar – explained Marco Calcagni, president of ACIMGA and Omet sales director as he welcomed guests – we intend to promote the meeting and sharing of ideas between representatives of the most important companies in the global market and Italian manufacturers. Indeed, ACIMGA represents the top technology manufacturers in the global flexo industry”.
“As vice-president of ACIMGA and president of the North American branch of Uteco – says Aldo Peretti, CEO and shareholder, Uteco Group – I believe informal networking opportunities like this one in Baltimore generate significant return on a leading market like the US”.
