GM/CHEVY ALL-STAR GAME

Wednesday 30. April 2014 - In preparation for the 2005 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, GM strategically placed display advertising around Comerica Park that simulated shattered windows that appeared to have been hit by homerun baseballs from Comerica Park.

Each visual display includes the actual distance, compiled from a local surveying firm, from home plate at Comerica Park. The farthest distance and most prominent visual display is the 180′ tall, 127′ wide, self-adhesive window graphic of a baseball that has traveled 4,612 feet from home plate at Comerica Park and crashed through the glass of the Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit.
GM partnered with MetroMedia Technologies for the execution of this hybrid campaign consisting of traditional OOH and captive audience advertising. From creative release to posting in under 3 weeks, MetroMedia Technologies and GM hit a home run.
GM swings…it’s going…going…it’s long gone! A smash hit on the Renaissance Center!
