MCOR TECHNOLOGIES SIGNS ALLAXIS 3D PRINTERS AS NEWEST AUTHORIZED RESELLER IN FLORIDA

Friday 21. February 2014 - Mcor Technologies Ltd, manufacturer of the only line of desktop paper-based 3D printers in the world, and winner of the coveted 3D Printshow Brand of the Year Award, announced today that it has signed ALLAXIS 3D Printers as its newest authorized reseller in Florida.

Based in Jupiter, Florida and a division of Digital Illustration & Design, ALLAXIS 3D Printers will sell and service Mcor’s breakthrough lines of IRIS and Matrix 300+ paper-based 3D printers primarily across mid- and northern Florida to a wide range of markets, including engineering, medical, fine arts, reprographic service bureaus and commercial printers, and then will seek to capitalize on new opportunities best made available with Mcor’s unique full color, paper-based technology as the 3D printing market in Florida grows and evolves.
For over 25 years, ALLAXIS has specialized in 3D CAD services and the sale and support of Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems, large format plotters and scanners. Company CEO, Alex Lorenzo, is considered to be a CAD guru, having pioneered the use of CAD since the era of manual drafting. For nearly 30 years Alex has taught hundreds of students the essentials of both 2D and 3D CAD focused on maximizing productivity. Numerous architectural and engineering firms both large and small have sought his services as a CAD consultant. His extensive knowledge of 3D modeling and his ability to streamline the training process allows him to bridge the gap between 3D modeling and 3D printing.
“We are especially excited about introducing 3D printing to the commercial printing and reprographics markets, among the other common vertical segments,” said Alex Lorenzo, CEO of ALLAXIS 3D Printers. “We believe, with Mcor 3D printers, the crossover to 3D printing will be a very natural progression for these industries because Mcor 3D printers use the three main elements printing and reprographic bureaus are very familiar with: color, paper and ink. With Mcor 3D printers, 3D scanners and 3D modeling software, we believe Mcor 3D printers will be the first choice for commercial printing and reprographic companies wanting to offer this exciting new technology known as 3D printing. I couldn’t have dreamed for a better opportunity.”
“We are delighted to welcome ALLAXIS 3D Printers to the Mcor reselling family,” said Dr. Conor MacCormack, co-founder and CEO of Mcor Technologies. “Their deep expertise in CAD, scanners and digitizers, gives them a unique advantage from which many new 3D printing business opportunities will emerge.”
ALLAXIS 3D Printers joins a growing number of companies who are taking advantage of Mcor’s partner program. Mcor has seen phenomenal growth in their channel; “the number of partners has increased by 1200% from July 2012 and as a result sales growth is about 600% for the same period,” added MacCormack. Mcor continues to seek channel partners worldwide and has very aggressive growth plans for the coming year.
