ppi Media adds corporate publishing solution to its portfolio

Markus Trost, managing director of Media-Print Group GmbH

Friday 25. October 2013 - mediaprint infoverlag is the first corporate publishing customer

mediaprint infoverlag is setting itself up for further growth by introducing a streamlined editorial workflow and cost-efficient production planning. The specialist in corporate publishing based in Mering, Germany, is the market leader in advertising-financed information publications. With ppi Media’s Content-X, the company is planning to integrate external editors and content suppliers, graphic designers and other partners even more closely in the production workflow. From the first quarter of 2014, production and ad planning will also be performed with Content-X in a highly automated, web-based and transparent workflow. The company’s information portals will be filled with content quickly and efficiently from the Content-X database. Consequently, this will leave more time for new projects and new customers.
Amongst other things, mediaprint infoverlag produces information publications for local authorities, organizations, associations and establishments. With these books, magazines and brochures, each customer is able to satisfy its members’ demand for information and provide information on services, and, at the same time, create a unique advertising platform for local businesses. Graphic material is often provided by the customers themselves; texts are created in a local or central editorial office together with the customer. Professional designers create the layout. All the partners work directly in the publication itself, which means that texts can be created with the exact number of lines for the layout and graphic material delivered as required. The “editors” and media consultants can also view their texts on the pages of the brochure via the InDesign server, without having a full version of InDesign installed. Project managers can view the current state of a publication anytime in a live preview. Spontaneous planning changes due to ads or a change in volume can be replanned and implemented very quickly in Content-X.
“We have screened the market and discovered a number of powerful solutions. With Content-X, we are planning to use standard software which not only maps our workflow, but further optimizes and fully digitalizes it in a number of important points. In the future, Content-X will also provide digital output channels at mediaprint infoverlag with content at the press of a button,” says Markus Trost, managing director of Media-Print Group GmbH. The entire content of the video division mediaprint.tv, the book division Rasch & Röhring, as well as the regional publishers will also be available in the company’s cityapps in the future.
