Teknek – Leading the Way in Quality Assurance

Monday 30. September 2013 - Teknek continues to be recognised as the market leader in narrow web contact cleaning technology as the countdown starts to Label Expo Europe - Europe's largest trade show for the label sector.

Glasgow-based Teknek has set about further developing its core offering by introducing a Quality Assured standard for its unique cleaning rollers and complementary adhesives.
Stephen Mitchell, Teknek’s managing director commented: “Since Teknek started this technology over 20 years ago our customers have been bewildered by a range of cheap, low quality copies. We have therefore decided to benchmark our products against International Recognised standards and test methods. Our products have always been made and tested to the highest levels in sharp contrast to those produced by others. By assuring our products meet well publicised and relevant standards we are hoping that the deliberate confusion caused by low quality copies will be reduced.”
Teknek is pleased and proud to Quality Assure that all cleaning rollers meet ISO 6123, and that all adhesive products are tested to FINAT 1, 8, 9 &12.
In additional all Teknek products are compliant with both RoHS and REACH reflecting our commitment to protecting our customers, our staff and the environment from chemical hazards.
Now customers have the ability to select products based on International Quality criteria and we urge them all to insist that their supplier meets these minimum requirements.
Teknek is unique in its sector in that it is the only contact cleaning company that produces its own cleaning rollers.  In the last twelve months it has manufactured over 10,000 rollers. It also produces its own unique sheeted adhesive rolls producing over 1.5million sq. metres per annum.  This experience and capacity allow Teknek to offer products which easily meet or exceed recognised quality standards.
