WoodWing at World Publishing Expo 2013 – Multi-Channel Publishing Redefined
Monday 23. September 2013 - With the theme of "One For All," WoodWing is using the World Publishing Expo, taking place in Berlin from October 7-9, to give the public its first look at version 9 of its multi-channel publishingsystem Enterprise. This version sets new standards in terms of ease-of-use and efficiency for modern multi-channel publishing. At Booth 310 in Hall 4.2, WoodWing will also present the latest version of its digital asset management system Elvis DAM, tightly integrated with Enterprise.
The World Publishing Expo is one of the annual highlights for publishers from all over the world. The event, formerly known as IFRA Expo, has become the leading exhibition for technology to publish news in print and online as well as on tablets and smartphones. With the exhibition and accompanying workshops and strategic conferences, the World Publishing Expo is the perfect opportunity to get latest information on innovative technologies addressing the demanding requirements in modern newspaper and magazine publishing.
With the theme of “One For All,” WoodWing will present an innovative technology approach, which brings the efficiency and journalistic relevance of multi-channel publishing to an all-new level. The motto not only represents the basic philosophy of this approach – one solution for all users, one story to all channels, and one central repository for all multimedia content – but also represents the teamwork between WoodWing and its partners to offer tailored solutions, cutting-edge technology and superior service to their customers.
WoodWing Enterprise 9 is the shooting star
The new version 9 of WoodWing´s multi-channel publishing system Enterprise and its editorial management application Content Station maximize speed and simplicity of multi-channel publishing. It takes just three easy steps to publish to any digital channel: creation of a dossier, writing of the article and immediate publication with a single click. Because both entire articles as well as article components can be used for multiple channels at the same time, content creation is sped up enormously. So, for example, the lead written for a Web article can at the same time be used as a Facebook post.
This is possible due to an innovative new user interface in Content Station, which allows the user to see channel-specific views with all content for that channel. The all-new Publish Manager App in Content Station provides an overview of the publishing status of all channels and enables instant publication of multiple articles across various channels at once.
WoodWing Elvis DAM, seamlessly integrated with Content Station
Because file collections are growing rapidly as a result of multi-channel publishing, digital asset management has become a necessity. WoodWing Elvis DAM can be used as a standalone solution or integrated with Content Station, unlocking unparalleled efficiency benefits. A number of publishers worldwide, including DBB Verlag (Germany), Ringier Axel Springer (Serbia), Dennis Publishing (UK), Harian Kontan and Jakarta Globe (both in Indonesia) and many more are already using this combined solution successfully.
“It has always been our goal to help newspaper and magazine publishers optimize the efficiency of their publishing processes,” said Hans Janssen, CEO of WoodWing. “In the fast-changing multi-channel publishing world, it´s our task to offer solutions that enable them to quickly implement their content strategies to stay competitive. With the latest releases of our multi-channel publishing and digital asset management solutions, we have once again raised the bar in terms of efficiency, ease-of-use and flexibility.”
Live demonstrations in WoodWing´s theatre
At the Expo, WoodWing’s product evangelist Tim Cole will give daily demonstrations in the theater at the booth. Visitors will get an overview of the latest Enterprise and Elvis DAM features. The presentations also cover the integration of Elvis DAM and Enterprise 9 and show how to manage, publish and republish content to multiple channels using this powerful combination.
