Aiming to enhance print productivity of design/printing firms as well as corporate in-house print centers, Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. will launch its light production color system DocuColor 5656 P, which prints 56 pages per minute (ppm)Note1 in both color and monochrome with its output quality equivalent to high-end models. The sale starts on August 6, 2013.
While following the previous modelNote2 in terms of high image quality, paper versatility and a 100-volt power supply that enables it to be used in any installation environment, the DocuColor 5656 P adopts a print server that features a parallel raster image processing (RIP)Note3 to achieve the print speed of 56 ppm in both color and monochrome.
The DocuColor 5656 P is equipped not only with software for automatic print adjustmentNote4, like a higher end modelNote5, but also with a function that enables simple correction of registration and color of original prints (See chart 1 &2), which reduces complex workload currently conducted by operators’ visual process and improves work efficiency. The new model also comes with enhanced security functions for the office document environment; user authentication and log management.
To automate troublesome processes of folding and binding, the new product can output prints with saddle stitchingNote6 at the final process of output. For sales and promotion departments, Fuji Xerox offers the cloud-based service that provides a design template to support creation of sales promotion materialsNote7 to cover all of the production processes required, from planning, design and production to output, supporting creation of highly appealing promotion materials on demand.
