GGP Media receives French certification

Thursday 08. August 2013 - GGP Media has received environmental certification from the French printing association P2i. This important certificate for the French business will enable the arvato subsidiary to acquire additional major customers in France and further increase its export ratio.

The “Imprim’vert” is an unusual feature among German printers, as GGP Media is the only German company to have received this certificate from the French printing association P2i. It certifies that production meets the highest environmental standards, and is at this point considered by French publishing groups to be a prerequisite for awarding contracts.
“A lot of work went into it, but our team rose to the challenge superbly and now has every reason to be proud of the result,” says Christof Ludwig, Managing Director of GGP Media. GGP Media invested about a year of preparatory work into the certification by the French printing association. It involved working off a 45-page book of specified requirements. “The P2i auditors were really very meticulous,” says Joseph Lautenbach, Key Account Manager France. “They really wanted to know everything: Where and how which inks and materials were stored, inspected and, if necessary, disposed of, were just some of the questions we had to answer in great detail.”
GGP Media’s European export ratio of about 25 percent is expected to increase with the new certification.
