Marabu and FESPA – Connected since 50 Years
Friday 02. August 2013 - For five decades, Marabu has been connected to FESPA. Since 1963, the printing inks specialist has been exhibiting at the leading fair for screen, digital, and textile printing, and each time a high number of visitors enjoy trendsetting product presentations. Apart from Marabu booths, it is important for us to cooperate with other exhibitors and partners.
Marabu exhibited at FESPA for the first time in Paris 1963. Since then, the printing inks manufacturer displays successful products and novelties at the show. “For many years, FESPA has been an important part in our product communication strategy. Every show sets high standards with regard to new technologies and product solutions. FESPA gives us the unique opportunity to exchange experiences, and to develop new ideas”, describes Friedrich Goldner, Director of New Business Development at Marabu.
A Successful Cooperation
For over 50 years, Marabu has been presenting its products and novelties at FESPA. Thereby, Marabu does not only display products at its own booth, but also in cooperation with others on their stands. “We work together with partners who run their machines with our inks. In this way, visitors can experience the quality of our inks best”, explains Friedrich Goldner. This year, as usual, products were demonstrated live in both halls in London.
Screen Printing in Perfection
Visitors experienced first-class live screen printing at the corporate booth of the two machine manufacturers Sakurai (Japan), and Natgraph (Great Britain). Here, high quality front panels and offset finishing were demonstrated employing among others Marabu’s Ultrastar-M UVSM Opaque Black 180. The deeply matt ink is universally applicable for graphical and industrial applications, and achieves excellent adhesion.
Excellent Finishing at the HP-Booth
The second highlight was displayed at the HP booth. The company coated live with high-gloss Marashield UV-CBG on a Bürkle roller coating machine. UV-CBG is suitable for finishing corrugated board or cardboard for high quality point-of-sale applications. Visitors were particularly stunned by the high-gloss results.
A Lot of Gloss at the Eckart GmbH Booth
At the Eckart GmbH booth, MaraJet DI-JVP Silver 191was printed on PVC-film. Apart from brilliant silver shades, silver can create various gold or coloured metallic shades. The foil was afterwards finished with Marashield UV-CBG live on the Star Lam 1.6 at the Marabu booth. The result: the water-based liquid coating is the first product to combine high-gloss metallic effects with an excellent protective function.
In the coming years, Marabu will take up its spot at FESPA, and will continue to cooperate with partners and clients to present Marabu printing inks best.
